OPEN SOURCE RELEASE

🚁 AERO 07 — Police Drone | First-Person Piloting | Standalone / ESX / QBCore / Qbox

Give your officers, deputies, agents and paramedics an eye in the sky. AERO 07 is a custom quadcopter you fly in first person from a tablet. It has 5 liveries, night and thermal vision, a spotlight and a target scanner.

✈️ A real drone, a real vehicle

• Custom quadcopter model, streamed as a real vehicle (vag_drone), so garages and admin menus can spawn it too.
• 5 liveries, each with its own shell colour and markings: Standard · Police · Sheriff · FIB · EMS / LSFD.
• Rotors spin up, then switch to motion-blur discs in flight. The camera gimbal tilts with the pilot's view. Every player sees it.
• Seamless rotor sound that fades with distance and is softer in the pilot's camera.

🎮 Piloting

• First-person camera on a stabilised gimbal, with smooth zoom.
• Day / Night / Thermal vision.
• Synced spotlight that follows the camera.
• Target scanner: model, plate, speed and range of the vehicle or person in your reticle.
• Lock-on keeps the camera on a target.
• Cruise speed up or down on the fly, remembered per player, with a boost on top.
• Smooth flight with banking, altitude ceiling and signal range.
• Return to home: the drone flies back, lands and is packed away automatically.
• Disconnect / reconnect: park the drone on a rooftop, walk away, and reconnect later from anywhere in range.

🧍 Immersion

• The pilot puts the drone down, then holds a tablet while flying, and every player sees it.
• A drone camera interface: compass, altitude, speed and cruise level, battery, signal bars, REC timer, street name, target card, plus interference when the signal gets weak.
• Battery per player that recharges while the drone is stored, with an emergency landing when it's empty.
• Shoot it down: one hit by default (configurable). Sparks, the drone tumbles to the ground and the pilot loses the link.

🛡️ Server-side and configurable

• Spawned by the server, which checks permissions, the item, distance and a cooldown. Drones are cleaned up when the owner disconnects or the resource restarts.
• Job and grade permissions for each livery (plus on-duty for QBCore / Qbox), and an ACE permission for staff.
• The livery is picked from the player's job, or set with /drone police.
• Works with an item or a command. Per-livery items are supported, and ready-to-use item files plus an icon are included.
• Optimised: idle loops sleep when no drone is around, state bags handle sync, and the model has full LODs.
• Every key can be rebound in FiveM's key bindings.
• One config file: speeds and cruise steps, km/h or mph, range, camera, battery, shots to down, animations, spotlight, sound volume, notifications, and every text (translate it in seconds).
• Exports for your MDT and other scripts: IsPiloting, GetDrone, GetTarget, Deploy, GetActiveDrones, IsAllowed.
